About Optos:
Optos is a leading medical technology company specializing in the development and manufacture of advanced eye‑imaging equipment. Our innovative devices capture high‑resolution, ultra‑widefield images of the retina—known as the optomap® exam. Providing eye‑care professionals with a quick, patient‑friendly method to assess retinal health.

The company was founded by Douglas Anderson after his five‑year‑old son experienced permanent vision loss due to a retinal detachment that went undetected in a routine eye exam. Motivated to ensure such conditions are identified earlier, Mr. Anderson pioneered technology capable of delivering wide, clear digital retinal images with greater ease and accuracy.

Today, Optos systems are used worldwide in independent ophthalmic practices, hospitals, and universities, helping millions of patients through improved retinal imaging and diagnostic capabilities.
