ROLE SUMMARY
The Regional Product Specialist (RPS) is a field-based position meant to assist Optos customers and prospects to the advantages of using our ultra-wide-field imaging and OCT technology in optometry, ophthalmology, and primary care. The RPS will demonstrate and train on all Optos products and software applications.
The RPS will help develop Optos sales force in clinical and technical acumen through field-based coaching and mentoring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be the expert on all Optos devices, software and implementation.
• Provide virtual software and device training via web-based programs.
• Demo and provide on-site training for all Optos products.
• Provide support at Marketing events/trade shows.
• Consult and provide expertise at validation/ DEA sites.
• Provide remote customer service support for training needs.
• Provide support to OD schools, national accounts and large institutions.
• Overnight travel (70%-80%).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) or equivalent relevant job experience.
• Self-motivated individual with exceptional communication and training delivery skills.
• Proactive communication of relevant site information to appropriate functional areas.
• Desire to exceed personal and company goals.
• Proficient knowledge of retinal anatomy and pathology.
• Confident in delivering direct, consultative advice to partner leaders.
• Skill and knowledge of optometric/ophthalmic clinical practices, flows and efficiencies.
• Ability to quickly assimilate complex information.
• Proven success in a complex ever-changing dynamic business environment.
• A solid track record in increasing productivity, efficiencies, and strong customer relationships in the optometric/ophthalmic environment.
• Demonstration in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve Company objectives.
• Achievement of presentation skills, providing product solutions and training, and the demonstration of in-depth knowledge of the ophthalmic industry.
• An ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities.
• Good computer skills (MS Office applications).
